For over 50 years, we have been known for our torsionally rigid metal bellows couplings, a special form of servo coupling. Gradually, new product areas have been added to our company’s portfolio, so that today, in addition to metal bellows couplings, we also offer elastomer and claw couplings, miniature couplings for the smallest drives, as well as distance couplings and cardan shafts for torque transmission over distances of up to six meters. Our numerous series of safety couplings and torque limiters also ensure reliable overload protection.
JAKOB Antriebstechnik has also developed an efficient protection system, the MS³ motor spindle protection, for the sensitive motor spindles of machine tools. In the event of an uncontrolled axial or radial collision, it protects the sensitive components of the motor spindle, such as the spindle bearings, from serious consequences. As a result, machining can usually continue as normal after the tool has been replaced, without incurring high repair costs or long machine downtimes
