1971
In 1971, Ludwig Jakob founded the company JAKOB Maschinenteile in Kleinwallstadt as a sideline.
1973
With the production of resolver gearboxes and simple bellows couplings with keyway connections in 1973, JAKOB sets an important milestone and the search for innovative products and improvements takes its course.
1974
Development and patenting of the KSS coupling. The principle of the friction-locked shaft-hub connection was applied for the first time worldwide. Even today, this principle has many imitators.
1975
In 1975, we introduce our own assembly and quality assurance. This move enables us to monitor the quality of our products throughout the manufacturing process and ensure that every component meets our strict requirements.
1977
Development of the first safety coupling that compensates for shaft misalignment (type SKA).
1977
Presentation of the SKA coupling at EMO 77 in Hanover with great success.
1977
Move into the production hall in Dieselstrasse.
1979
Establishment of a development department for optoelectronics.
1982
The first portable optoelectronic handwheels are presented in 1982
1983
In 1983, the company moves to the new administration building at Dieselstrasse 8.
1988
Acquisition of a majority shareholding in Optima Spanntechnik, Scheuerfeld.
1989
The second expansion follows in 1989 with the relocation of production to the new, larger production hall at Daimler Ring 42.
1993
Acquisition of Ott Maschinentechnik, Lengenwang.
1995
Acquisition of the company GPA, Karlsruhe.
1995
Foundation of the company JAKOB Vakuumtechnik.
1998
Acquisition of IPT Ion and Plasma Technology, Kaiserslautern
1989
Relocation of JAKOB Antriebstechnik, JAKOB Vakuumtechnik, IPT Ionen und Plasmatechnik and ENEMAC to the new administration building at Daimler Ring 42.

Acquisition of ALLMATIC Spannsysteme, Unterthingau

ALLMATIC-JAKOB moves to the new premises in Unterthingau
