Force measurement
The holding force of clamping devices is a decisive criterion in the mechanical processing of workpieces. It not only influences the machining quality, but is also extremely important for the safety of the machine operator, the workpiece and the machine tool. Clamping force measurement is used to control these clamping forces, for example in power clamping spindles in faceplates of roller lathes or vertical machining centers.
Hydraulic force measuring system HMD
Hydraulic load cells from the HMD series are robust measuring devices for determining axial compressive forces
up to 600 kN with medium accuracy. The force is transmitted analogously via the pressure pistons to a pressure gauge with a kN –
display scale. The measuring system is self-sufficient, no external or additional energy is required. This means that
static or dynamic forces can be reliably measured in a simple and inexpensive way for numerous applications throughout
mechanical engineering.
Design features:
– self-sufficient system – without external energy
– heat-treated steel – corrosion-protected
– multi-piston system – angle error compensation
